Met up with jet123 about 9:30am, waiting around for drzgal, but they didn't
show. Took the bypass around Heart Attack Hill - it was challenging. Impressed
with jet123 and his KLR650. Big mud puddle in the middle of the trail was
hiding about a foot and a half drop. ...made it through fine, but jet123 dumped
it there -- wish I had the camera handy. We both ended up wet and me, a bit
cold.
Took the hard road back to get some warmer gloves -- saw drzgal's truck, but
no drzgal. Went back to Sevenmile and waited a bit. Headed up the creekbed -- a
lot more water than a week or so ago, but the crossing were just a bit deeper.
TONS of ATVs! Many pretty stupid -- no helmets, infants, ....
Got annoyed and headed back. A couple of Forest Service rangers stopped us
to check on registrations -- they were friendly enough.
Lunch a Glen Echo -- met and ate with Bart and Bill who were riding WR's --
they just finished Kelly Flats and were on their way to Sevenmile.
